A notable highlight was the captivating presentation by Patrick Bringley, the author of "All the Beauty in the World: The Metropolitan Museum of Art and Me," shedding light on his personal journey and experiences while working as a security guard at the museum.
Insights into the collecting endeavors of Jordan Schnitzer from the Jordan Schnitzer Family Foundation and Jeff Greenstein from The Lab Seattle were particularly enlightening. The market's growing interest in Korean art showcased at The Lab, as well as Indigenous and Native American Art at the Gochman Family Collection and The Forge Project, was also discussed.
The conference delved into the rising prominence of artists with intellectual and developmental disabilities, highlighting the impactful work of curators from White Columns, Creative Growth, and Cavin-Morris Gallery.
